The Aluminium is our alternative to the Carbon, with the same innovative features. The loop-loop-go system makes rigging simple and seamless, even on the downhaul. The low stretch Dyneema rope greatly reduces friction, and downhaul can be applied with just your hands on most Wave and X-Over sails. The extension ring has a simple to use Pop & Slide system, so setting the right length becomes intuitive. The U-Pin button sits discreetly on the extension tube and has a manual locking function for safety and peace of mind, whether you’re in the waves or during long slalom reaches. High-grade plastic and stainless steel components ensure the extension will be in your quiver for many years to come.

An inspiring revolution – the Duotone POWER.XT 2.0 can do much more and do it better than the previous model. And as POWER.XT 2.0 AERO RDM 34 it is also the most lightweight ratchet extension of all time!

Beyond the basic idea, the POWER.XT 2.0 has almost nothing in common with the previous model any more. From the extremely solid ratchet mechanism plus lever to the simplified release mechanism, the high-strength Lyros® Dyneema harness downhaul lines and the option to retrofit the damper function – everything has been radically upgraded.

For many years, the POWER.XT has been the benchmark when it comes to extensions with trimming tools. Those who use it will never want to do without it again. Thanks to the integrated lever, it overcomes even the strongest downhaul forces, enabling perfect re-trimming or fine-tuning even when on the water. Even children could handle the extreme luff tension of modern slalom sails, each profile can be adjusted to millimetre precision in a matter of seconds. The 15 cm long lever and the ratio of 1:60 enable trimming without any noticeable effort.

The Duotone UNI.XT – the most technically advanced and yet the most lightweight standard aluminium extension we have ever built. Now also built using AERO carbon technology to create the most lightweight extension in the world. When it comes to standard extensions, everyone has probably experienced some nasty surprises at some point. They rarely fit with the rope alignment on the sail, most of them need high downhaul forces, and more often than not the mechanism for adjusting the height is extremely fiddly. Before designing the UNI.XT we analysed all of these issues in detail and came up with workable solutions. The strong and super-solid UNI.XT extension may look like numerous other standard extensions at first glance, yet it is replete with innovations which make it a far superior product.

Severne tendon for windsurfing base

The Neilpryde MXT mast extension, Used by most sailors on the PWA TOUR, the Mono-Button Mast Base and Extension System (MXT) has been designed to offer a secure, heavy duty connection and ease of operation. The MXT Extensions are fully integrated with stainless steel cleat/pulley bottom assemblies offering the best weight to stiffness ratio and creating very light but also very strong extensions.

The weight has been reduced by eliminating all unnecessary plastic while increasing the cross- section of stainless steel parts for increased strength.This part can now withstand over 900kg of downhaul load twice as much as used on the largest racing sails.

The special geometry with tilt bottom pulley makes perfect sail pulley/rope alignment. This allows the sail to be downhauled all the way down (block-to-block) and it reduces downhauling friction.

With more people running freeride and slalom sails on RDM masts, the necessity for a 3-pulley RDM extension became obvious.
Design focused on reducing downhaul friction for easier rigging. Careful attention to rope alignment and pulley spacing has enabled significant improvements. Perfectly matched to any sail with the 4-roller tack pulley, the Triple Xtension also suits sails with the 3-roller tack pulley. Other features include Dyneema rope and an integrated hook to anchor the tack strap.

34cm SDM, 34CM RDM, 48CM SDM

The Neilpryde UXT mast extension system allows us to use a continuous diameter all the way down.

The outer diameter of the upper mast cap is larger than the diameter of the extension tube. This, combined with the stepped collar of the Clamshell, creates a cavity thus preventing the carbon mast and alloy tube to be in contact, preventing oxidation and corrosion.
