Starboard Armacore pair of side fins are designed for high performance; offering a fine-tuned flex made at a very lightweight. The flex allows power to be stored and released to drive through turns in the waves, while the stiffness on flat-water delivers solid tracking and control.

Armacore fins are available with Blue Carbon, Pine Tek, Starlite Pro and Starlite Hypernut as center and side fins. All other Starlite boards feature this tech only in the critical center fin. The most ground breaking part of the new Armacore collection is that they offer a sustainable solution for closed-loop recycling and contribute to the creation of a circular economy. The core of the fin uses Armacel which is made of 100% Recycled Plastic bottles (RPET). The fins are built with a revolutionary bio recyclable epoxy resin that can be recycled to recover and reuse all of the materials without resorting to the use of new virgin materials.

In essence, the fin can be dipped in a solution for 2 – 3 hours, during which the resin, the core and the fibre reinforcements separate. These can then be partly reused to generate new fins or create further bioproducts such as plastic injected parts like foot strap inserts. The system has been listed for an Award and has the potential to change eventually the entire industry’s outlook on how way molds, tooling, boards and fins can be recycled.

Starboard has pioneered a new line of pre-impregnated carbon fins. Using the same, super lightweight 3k prepreg twill carbon layup that is based off our World Championship winning, Lima Paddle.

The 3k pre impregnated carbon twill wave is an ultra lightweight weave that creates super stiff performance throughout the fin. The trailing edge features a super sharp 0.4mm for clean hydrodynamics. The new range of fins adds speed and performance like never before.

SUP surfers will have a more high performing, responsive, engaged, and locked-in fin setup. After testing with multiple team riders, we could not believe the difference in speed, power, and flow with the new Carbon Surf Fins.

The new, ultra-light carbon surf fins will enhance your performance in the waves, providing more drive, grip, and speed out of turns. The carbon twill construction creates a stiffer fin, offering incredible drive as it grips and holds during your bottom and top turns. After numerous prototypes and tests, the construction was fine-tuned to provide some flex in the tip of the fin, creating reflex and spring out of turns. As the profile gets wider towards the base of the fin, more layers of carbon help to stiffen the performance for more drive and hold. The trailing edge features the 0.4mm thick edge for speed. The carbon surf fins are probably the lightest fin in the market, with the 4.5 side fin averaging 44g per fin.

The Performance 8” Thermotech, utilizes an all-around template shape and can be used as a stand-alone center fin, or combined with side bites to be used as a 2 +1. Made in Huntington Beach, Thermotech fins do not have the traditional plastic feel of a composite fin. Instead, they have a consistent flex that creates drive and release through turns. Thermotech fins come with the Futures Truss Base, making them lighter and stronger.

Futures AMT Honeycomb twin plus one surfboard fins.

The Al Merrick Twin +1 (AMT) was designed by Channel Islands creator for Rob Machado's Robber model surfboard. The AMT generates maximum speed, drive and hold through big carves to perform around pointbreaks or lined up beach breaks. The AMT's honeycomb construction gives this fin a medium flex pattern, while the large area provides ample hold in overhead surf. The set is equipped with the option to ride with a small trailer fin for increased drive and stability, creating more of a thruster feel.

IDEAL CONDITIONS
Open face, down-the-line waves, particularly good in point and reef breaks.
