What counts on the water is control, efficiency and a direct feeling in the hands. The NORTH Nova 2026 gives you exactly that: a balanced, easy-to-ride all-round setup with an enormous wind range. Whether on mirror-smooth water, in a chop or in a wave - the Nova pulls you into planing with immediate propulsion and accelerates without force-intensive pumping. The power delivery is directed forward ("direct drive"), which allows you to run upwind efficiently and effortlessly deliver upwind performance.

The neutrally tuned lift characteristics ensure that the wing does not rise or pull uncontrollably during maneuvers. Gybes, tacks and quick hand changes feel light and controlled because the pressure point remains stable and you have less to correct. When downwinding or in waves, the Nova convinces with a smooth, stable trailer - it hovers neutrally next to you without oscillating or unintentionally building up pressure. The Active Twist Wingtips automatically relieve you of overpower by cleanly dissipating excess power. This keeps the wing controllable and fast even in the upper wind range.

The low swing weight and the tidy profile make the Nova particularly agile. In your hands, it feels light and intuitive, transitions are smooth and direct. Thanks to the pre-mounted GripLock Carbon Boom, you can freely choose your hand position, trim precisely and pull off fast transitions cleanly - without compromising on control or comfort. In the structure, North relies on a reactive, rigid structure. In the leading edge with reduced diameter, UD Carbon Tapes (Carbon UDi) run throughout, inspired by the 3Di technology from sail making. These unidirectional carbon bands increase flexural stiffness, reduce flex under load and provide a quick "snapback" – the wing immediately returns to its original shape after gusts or pumping movements. The result is more efficient pumping, more direct feedback and less energy loss due to deformation.

The Radiate Geometric Panel Layout construction distributes the loads neatly over the fabric and supports a stable profile. Durable, low-stretch N-X6 Trailing Edge Panels increase trailing edge tension, dampen flutter and allow for clean flow release with minimal drag. The Active Twist Wingtips are created by the tapered leading edge diameter - they reduce swing weight and drag and give you extra control in high winds. The Dual Valve Hyperflow system with separate valves for the leading edge and strut allows for different pressures, so you can pump the strut harder than the front tube for even more profile stability.
